The Decalogue Society of Lawyers is very excited and honored to host the Second Annual, “A Salute To Veterans in the Legal Profession,” on June 3 at 5:30 pm, at Solider Field! We have had great success in building a coalition of over 41 affinity bar associations as co-hosts of this wonderful event, which you can see in the below flyer! This year is particularly special as the event takes place the week of the 80th Anniversary of D-Day.

The purpose of this event is to recognize and honor the service and sacrifice of Veterans in all branches of the U.S. Military who, in addition to their service to this country, have also dedicated their careers to the legal profession as judges, lawyers, paralegals, law students, and legal administrative staff.

This year’s event builds on our very successful inaugural event last year at Theater on the Lake, which included 350 attendees and over 100 Judges who came out to honor our Service Members who went on to work in the legal profession. The event program will include speakers (lawyers and Judges) who have served or currently serve in each branch of the military, as well as Color Guard, Pipes & Drums and Rifle Team presentations. Event Challenge Coins will also be presented to all service members, whom we encourage to attend in their military dress. We also encourage all service members to submit in advance of the event (by May 20), a photo or two of them in service to include in a digital montage which will be playing throughout the event. John Vincent, who sings National Anthem for the Cubs, will be singing at the event!

Food will be provided and there will be an open bar.
